Some time ago we decided we should create and operate several. related
(to our current business) ecommerce websites. We did our due-diligence and
found that there was a lot of great advice about websites and tools
to help us with our task. However, there were few, if any, ways to tie
the advice to the tools without previous knowledge about website
building and web promotion.
What We Did...
This led us to create this website. I already knew HTML and I looked for Website Templates
that I could download and modify. This theory worked well but I found myself fixing and updating
the code in the templates. So I designed my own and coded them to W3C specification.
All the pundits told us that we needed our own Opt-in Email List.
Good advice—but when we looked for code snippets or tools to create
an opt-in list to add to our web site we found that we would need to learn a new
programming language and either make massive changes to tools that did too much or too
little or build our own opt-in email tool.
How We Did It...
Well, we learned PHP, MySQL and Linux and built our own opt-in email tool. Then we
thought that this might help others, like you, with your website building efforts.
We designed some attractive HTML website templates in a variety of colors and
integrated our new Basic Opt-in Email Tool (BOET). We decided early to
keep the public parts of our website templates in HTML because this is the
most common way to build a website and the easiest for you to work with. We
offer a complete website solution for people/businesses
to begin their site-building project.
Moving Right Along...
The next task we attacked was the problem of making a website that
was built for membership. Once again, the tools available
were for true geeks and not for normal people like us. We took our templates
and converted them so the owner could restrict web pages to members only. Then we
integrated our Basic Opt-in Email Tool. Then we packaged the integration of the
Basic Opt-in Email Tool into a
separate product so others could retro-fit it into their
existing websites. Now we provide a total solution to people who
are seeking to build a mini-site
or membership website that provides information
and allows the webmaster to communicate directly with his/her members

Each of these web site templates can be converted to sales. If you
want to sell information, i.e., e-books, e-zines, or reports,
you do not need a shopping cart but can make sales by using a service such as
